Research

Edith Cowan Small and medium enterprise research centreBusiness Foundations has entered into a research partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprise Research Centre (SMERC) at Edith Cowan University, headed by Professor Beth Walker. This partnership was created to ensure that all the activities of Business Foundations can be validated to ensure that they are meeting the needs of the small and medium sized businesses that Business Foundations supports.

Research will be undertaken in an academic framework over a number of years to create a longitudinal research platform to allow for analysis of the impact of business support services. This research will be presented to government agencies to validate program effectiveness and define opportunities for further development.
